Oak Aging : French and Canadian oak barrels for 12 months Alcohol: 12.5% Style: DryBottling Date(s): June 20, 2006 Cases produced: 98 Tasting Notes: The 2004 Oak Aged Wild Blueberry Wine (QC) from Muskoka Lakes Winery is a unique wine that drinks almost like a dry, red grape wine. This wine was fermented on the skins, manually pressed and then aged in French and Canadian Oak for 12 months. Deep purple in colour, it has a spicy, blueberry nose with hints of Christmas cake and eucalyptus. This medium-bodied wine has a nice balance of fruit and oak tannins, good acidity and a long finish. Pair it with roast beef, pepper steak and leg of lamb. Drink now or cellar for 3-5 years. QC – Fruit Wines of Canada Quality Certified
